Ophthalmology

Ophthalmology is the branch of veterinary medicine that concerns diseases, injuries, and conditions that affect your pet’s eyes and vision. This includes diagnosing and treating problems with the structures surrounding the eye such as eyelids, eye sockets, and conjunctiva. We regularly see ophthalmology conditions such as:

  • Cataracts
  • Corneal ulcers
  • Conjunctivitis
  • Glaucoma
  • Prolapsed third eyelid glands (Cherry eye)
  • Lacerations
  • Eyelid masses
  • Uveitis
  • Traumatic injuries

We offer a variety of ophthalmology procedures and surgeries, but if it is a complex problem we also work with multiple boarded ophthalmologists in the area to get you the help you need. To schedule a consultation with our doctor, call us at 706-283-2761.
